Rodrigo Abelha has been playing drums for more than 18 years. He was born in 1982 in São Paulo-Brazil and started to study drum at the age of 11. He had studied drums at U.L.M (University of Free Music) and percussion at E.M.M (Municipal School of Music) both in SP. As a drummer he has been playing many styles of music, from jazz combos to rock-metal bands. In 2005 with his group "Zambé (Brazilian-jazz) he had won the 1st MPB festivals from U.L.M. He had played in a few internationals jazz festival such as; Punta del Este-Uruguay2006, Santiago- Chile2008. In 2009 he stayed a season in London-UK. Where he played with Iris Lacava (Brazilian singer) and Busking with Luca Orsini (Italian Bass player). In London he studied music production at Point Blank. Now a days He is playing with the remarkable band from SP called "Rockstock" and "Suíte12Boulevard"(Instrumental-Live Electronics).
