Born and raised in East Los Angeles. Rodolfo D. Torres is Professor of Urban Planning,Chicano/Latino Studies, Political Science, and Culture and Theory at the University of California, Irvine. He is a former Adam Smith Foundation Fellow and Visiting Professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Glasgow.
