Born in Malta, studied politics and economics at Oxford followed by graduate studies in Boston, Paris and Parma.
Worked as an economist with the European Commission during accession negotiations between 1999 and 2003. Since 2004, Malta editor for Eurobarometer surveys.
Lecturing duties are in the areas of European Policy, Public Policy and Policy Making in Micro-States at the Faculty of Economics, Management and Accounts of the University of Malta. Co-ordinator of the Political Studies Programme.
