In 2007 Rob Orion formed the dj collective "Random Brothers" in Waihi, New Zealand with the intention of creating an under the radar party scene in small town NZ. Within 2 years the Random Brothers had a solid local following and were playing alongside the likes of Gregg Churchill, Dan Aux, Mark Emerson, DJ Philppa.
At the unofficial Shapeshifter aftershow party at Waihi Beah a pumping mass of over 400 party people were bouncing along to Random Brothers filthy house and breaks tunes. This was to be Random Brothers last gig.
Rob has recently relocated to Kerikeri, NZ where he envisages a similar project. He believes that ambience and vibe are integral in creating a relaxed and successful event.
