Rintrah is DJ, producer and music professional Jacob Howard. He has made his name as the music and media manager at the iconic Section 8 bar in Melbourne’s CBD since 2008, seeing it rise to a place of unique importance in the city’s musical landscape.
Beyond hosting well known night INBTWN every Thursday night for the past 5 years, Rintrah has hosted scores of local and international artists, organised and been at the helm of Section 8’s unique laneway festival-type events and 2014’s inaugural BATTLE 8 DJ Soundclash.
A famous penchant for putting on secret underground gigs and a diverse DJing style has led to a wide range of supports for international artists, at both Section 8 and beyond, including DJ Krush, Hudson Mohawke, Gold Panda and Jimmy Edgar. In 2014 Rintrah has shared stages with the likes of Mr Carmack, DJ Vadim, Electric Wire Hustle and Awesome Tapes From Africa.
