Rikki Newton has been an unfaltering member of the Brisbane DJ community and one of its beacons for underground house and techno. Having earned a deserved reputation as an excellent warm-up DJ during a five-year residency at Family night club's infamous Uncle Bar - where he supported internationals such as Ben Watt, Carl Craig, Jimpster and Ame - he has since become a regular on line-ups around Brisbane for Auditree, White Rhino, The Kush Club and Kana.

Equally well known as half of the team behind Subtrakt Events (which he established in 2007 and runs with good friend Adam Swain) Rikki has both hosted and played alongside international talents Dixon, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Prosumer, Smallpeople, Moomin, Oskar Offermann, Jus-Ed, Tornado Wallace, Move D, Fred P & Steffi.
