Rich Soundz is a Ghanaian American DJ born in Harlem and raised the South Bronx. His love for music was cultivated by listening his father's record collection in the early 80's, watching Video Music Box and listening to Kool DJ Red Alert on 98.7 Kiss FM. It wasn't until seeing a childhood friend named DJ Supa Sam DJ and listening to Funk Master Flex on HOT 97 was when he took a strong interest to Deejaying. He was used his mother's allowance money to buy records and save up enough money to buy his first DJ set. Rich Soundz has spin with the likes of Supa Rocking DJ E Kim, Video Music Box's Ralph McDaniels and has spun classic hip hop and R&B tunes at American Park Cafe, Cecil Steakhouse and Harlem Nights.
