Boston area born and raised Richard Mixin’ has spent the last 15 years opening some of the best and largest music venues in the United States. Raised on Boston punk music, Public Enemy and whatever vinyl sat in his dad’s funk record collection- his djing style is fun, aggressive and relentless and models dj’s like A-Trak, Sean Mac, Jazzy Jeff, Diplo, etc. As an 8 year voting member of the National Recording Academy, he has helped develop careers for some of the world’s largest musical artists working with William Morris Agency in Beverly Hills for artists like Eric Pyrdz, Adventure Club, DVBBS, 12th Planet and more. As a dj, he has been able to play at many of the venues he has helped develop including the Las Vegas capstone Drai’s and Drai’s Afterhours. His pro dj career started in a music- forward Baltimore where he graduated from one of the top tier art schools MICA, landing residencies at Red Maple and the Get Down where he played with indie forward artists like Nadastrom, Nguzungu
