Ric, was born in Bronx, New York. As a child his exposure to music was inevitable. His father that once was a DJ, had a vast selection of vinyls that gave him an open door to the music scene. He grew up learning different instruments such as drums and the piano. Ric was always into the hip hop and reggae scene and wanted to blend the two genres. Once he became independent from his parents, he purchased inexpensive turntables and a mixer in order to pursue his passion for music by the way of the DJ. He started getting minor gigs while attending community college in West Palm Beach. On his pursuit for bigger endeavors, the DJ began networking and making connections with local hip hop acts. In January of 2011 the DJ released his first studio produced mixtape "Black Diamonds" with the help of long time friend and accomplice G. Balmir of BlacLabel Ent. The mixtape gained RicDaRoc much expected local attention. Currently RicDaRoc is dedicated DJ for the Hip Hop conglomerate Zilla Nation
