Retro Countdown 1982-05-01 UK Top 40

Here's this week's retrofest, in the shape of the UK Top 40 from week ending May 1st 1982. Both the English and Scottish national teams were hoping to do well in the World Cup, but, sadly, although their songs of hope made the charts, their teams didn't bring the cup home to the UK. We also failed at Eurovision having won the year before, but Bardo's UK entry was selling well and the career of 1981's winners was going from strength to strength with Bucks Fizz's fifth single and third (former) number one still doing well.
