Music and art have been part of Matt Strickland aka RESTRICKTED'S life from a very young age. by the age of 13 he had already attended roughly 10 concerts. For his 18th birthday he only wanted two things, a pair of CDJ'S. Using his laptop extensive song collection he began mixing music together and for his online Mix Show.
The first rave he attended was David Guetta. It was at 3 am that next morning that he fell in love with HOUSE music. His top influences have always been DIPLO, MAJOR LAZER and TIESTO
Matt has been spinning in the Bow Valley club scene for 4 years now and started producing in 2011. He has recently opened for A-ONE, DIPLO, and CARNAGE. His favorite style of house is Big Room and Trap, and he hopes to one day spin on the main stage at ULTRA Miami.
When he isn’t traveling the country attending festivals, DJing at The Brave The Night Tour or working on music he is making the people in Alberta dance at the clubs of the area!
