Since its founding, the music library of the ZLB Berlin has been working to create a vibrant place and a nexus of various musical practices in the center of one of the world's most exciting music capitals. On this frequency we want to draw attention to smaller, local labels that are doing valuable work and producing, initiating and distributing wonderful music in times of ubiquitous media change. As our listening habits change, they do this work with more heart and soul than the prospect of financial gain, with love for music instead of faith in algorithms, with know-how instead of pure market power.
