Dedicated curmudgeon, Steely Dan fan, devoted barfly, patron of the arts, critic of popular culture, skeptic, champion of reason, and man about town. I do not jump on bandwagons; am not necessarily interested in what is popular. I pay zero attention to sports. I am not restrained from independent thought by any ideology. My opinions and positions are guided by reason, rationality, and evidence. Hence, I do not believe in the supernatural, be it occult or religious. I am nevertheless culturally Jewish. I am no Puritan, but instead heartily recommend an hour and a half lunch with wine. I in fact enthusiastically embrace the Epicurean lifestyle. I thoroughly dislike Republicans, but also Social Justice Warriors and political correctness as well. I listen to commercial-free radio on the left end of the dial. I'm fairly content as long as Greek diners exist in the world, and there are unpretentious old-man bars with cheap draught beer, 70's yacht-rock, and interesting patrons.
