What do you do when you are an artists who likes more then one style of music but can't combine them?

Reform (Joris van Kappen) is an alias of Dirty-J.
Working with two names gives him more musical freedom.

Where Dirty-J stands for electro/fidget/house, Reform is all about the minimal/techhouse and jazzy stuff. During his performances it's all about recreating sounds and vibes and hitting the snares the right way. Playing with traktor on his macbook (or as he calls it his "trakbook") he got lots of more opportunities to re-stretch bend and loop tracks.

His music style is not only influenced by artists like Reboot, SIS, Polder, District One but also the likes of St. Germain, Miles Davis, Chet baker and of course lots of other musicians.

2010 will be all about gaining more skills in the studio and for becoming a live-act
