The Landfill Harmonic is a music project established by Raz Razzle in 2003. It has nothing whatsoever to do with the film of that name which appeared in 2015. A pilot piece for an hour-long John Peel tribute was broadcast on BBC6 Music in 2008 following a recommendation from William Ravenscroft, one of Peel's sons. The completed Peelgood Factor emerged in 2012. It was made from cassettes of Peel's shows and intended to demonstrate the impact he had on my life and assuredly the lives of many others. The other four mixes were all put together in 2020 and hewn chiefly from Peel's mid-to-late 90s shows. My tapes fizzle out after the 1999 Peelennium so that marks a convenient bookend to the project (Peel died in 2004).
