Im mainly a producer of hardcore breaks, imitating the sound and style of the original uk hardcore scene from 1990-1993 but my musical tastes are very wife ranging.
I dj mostly for fun although have played a few ilegal parties and small club nights, DJing for me is still fun and I'm signed up on here as Im just dipping my toe into virtual djing, I do still have my 1210's but space constraints make it difficult to just get them on the go for a quick mix,
At time of writing my set up is basic to say the least, just the djing software on the pc and a bunch of mp3's, monitoring and mixing all in the headphones and no external controller so its all mouse and keyboard shortcuts. I will be doing some oldskool mixes but will also be dabbling in all kinds of genres, but whatever i play, it will be because its good music, not always the latest tunes, the oldies deserve a dusting off and playing, its your dance floor heritage people, think of me as the National Trust for hard dance :)
