Obsessed with soul music since 1975, the year I began to DJ. Started writing about it in 1980, contributing to Blues & Soul from 1984 to this day + written two books "Who's Who In Soul" and "The Story of Soul". Worked on catalogue releases for PIR (25th and 40th Anniversary box sets), the sound of Philadelphia you can't beat it, + Motown and Arista. Co-owner/A&R Director of Expansion Records for over 30 years, label and events including Luxury Soul Weekender. Original DJ on Radio Invicta, then LWR, Solar, and Jazz FM. In the clubs, first DJ to ever play downstairs at Ronnie Scotts in the 80s. Currently, when invited, play Ronnie Scotts upstairs + Spiritland (Kings Cross, Royal Festival Hall) and Merchants Tavern (Shoreditch).
