PROTOBASE is the Berlin-based Psytrance and Trance project by Ralf Dietze, who, as a former member of Protonica, has been shaping the global scene for over 30 years. With Protobase, he combines driving Psytrance beats with melodic Trance and Goa elements as well as powerful ACID sequences. In 2025, he joined the label Shamanic Tales Records, founded by Astrix. His energetic sets captivate audiences at festivals such as BOOM, OZORA, Airbeat One, and Fusion, among others. As part of Protonica, he collaborated with artists like Liquid Soul and Ticon and delivered remixes for acts such as Astrix, Captain Hook, and Ace Ventura. Additionally, Ralf hosts the radio show PSYTRANCE GEMS on DI.FM and explores the world of Techno as COLLIDR.
