I began work as a solo artist in 2010 in Hackney, North London (UK ). Fusing the cutting edge sounds of contemporary indie folk (Arcade Fire/Patrick Wolf) with the rich textures of the shoegazing movement of the late 1980’s (Cocteau Twins/Ride), I make alternative piano driven music.

‘The Other Ram’, my debut self release, was completed in the summer of 2011. The album’s lead track ‘Doll House (We Are Living)’ describes what it feels like to observed, constrained and manipulated by social conventions, over an intense beat-driven melody, and it is this song that sets the foundation for the rest of the album.

I am currently writing and recording my second album ‘Asylum’, which is due for release in the first quarter of 2012. ‘Asylum’ will mark a departure of sorts, expanding the intimate sound of ‘The Other Ram’ into something more ambitious using a wider selection of instruments, soundscapes and themes.
