Music has always played an essential part in Raffi De LaRoche’s life. Raised in a family of musicians, he was constantly surrounded by classical music which forged his musical taste. He was first introduced to electronic music at the age of 15 when he started working at Radio One Lebanon as a part time DJ.
It was only 2 years later that he was selected in the 12 finalists of the Heineken Found@Thirst Worldwide DJ competition sponsored by Paul Oakenfold. That event marked a turning point in his life, where he discovered his passion for the music, especially the dark progressive house beats.
In 2007 Raffi started working at Tribe Hyperclub, a club that places itself at the leading edge of Montreal’s red hot nightlife. Week after week the biggest international DJ spun at the Montreal club, from Antoine Clamaran, to Audiofly, to Steve Lawler, Sasha & john Digweed, Roger Sanchez, Sander K to name a few and this exposure to their music carved even more Raffi’s taste in music.
