Sabin sounds like a sexualised melodrama of electronic soul, set against a backdrop of warm, lush deepness, caressing and flirting with many flavours of house and techno. Having spent her formative years as a dancer, when she stumbled into DJing 20 years ago, she fell passionately in love with it. She has forged her own path in NZ and abroad and is responsible for creating nights in Auckland and London: Etiquette, Jaded and Technologystolemyvinyle and is also founder of the new music, art & love collective, The Joy Administration.
And... she is Clever Box. Drawing on years of DJing, performance, vocal work and music production, Clever Box (Rachael Sabin) has now created a live act that pulses with lyrical magic and never fails to deliver. Currently curating long-running night Clever Box & Friends @ Ink Bar - a night of live acts & producers with established and future heroes – she provides excitement and joy for all on the dancefloor whilst flying her freak flag at full mast.
