Jon Pop started DJing house parties in Michigan in 1995. It wasn't long until he teamed up with Myles Serge (Dosed Recordings) to start organizing events which featured such artists as Kikoman (Deep Fried Records, Minus), Lee Curtiss (Visionquest), and John Gaiser (Minus).
In 2001, Jon produced the television show Colortones which aired on GRTV on Saturday nights. The show featured DJ sets with early computer animation. Additionally, about the same time, Jon hosted an electronic music internet radio show on the Swiss station www.Basic.ch.
Jon helped launch two of the longest running club events in Michigan which are still running today: Retro D'luxe (2004) with Jef Leopard and Control (2008) with Colin Clive (Mustard Plug).
Notable artists that Jon Pop has opened for include John Acquaviva (Plus 8 Records, Definitive Records), Magda (Minus), and Reid Speed (Play Me Records). Jon enjoys playing everything from minimal techno to deep & vocal house to indie dance.
