KARA inimă – a project by Polina Karagergi, a singer and DJ of Russian and Romanian descent.
Polina’s interest for music manifested itself when she was 15 and first visited Avtoban, the iconic private techno club in Ural’s Capital, Ekaterinburg. She spent enough time on the dance floor to discover the best standards of techno and develop taste for music of such leaders of the German techno as Pascal FEOS, Chris Liebing, John Digweed, Booka Shade, and Sven Väth.
Polina is an educated musician and plays piano. It wasn’t enough to create her own music though. That’s why Polina decided to study how to make electronic tracks when she moved to Moscow. To understand the structure of this music better Polina taught herself DJing. This new hobby captivated her so much that since 2014 KARA inimă has been residing DJ for private parties of a cover band 160m. KARA inimă’s sets been played in various cafes (including White Café and MIO), radio stations and clubs, both in Moscow and outside it.
