Polena was born in 1987, in Limassol, Cyprus.
She began piano lessons and music theory when she was five and graduated from the Department of Music Studies of the University of Athens in 2010, where she studied Historical and Systematic Musicology, Ethnomusicology and Cultural Anthropology, Sound technology, Music Pedagogy and Byzantine Musicology.
Polena has worked as a music teacher in Cyprus and Greece. She also directed the choir of Αnticancer Society of Cyprus and Pancyprian Organization For Rehabilitation Of Disabled Persons at the training centres of Cyprus from November 2013 to May 2014.
In 2012 she started her career as a deejay, having played in various events and bars such as Apsendi Bar (Kifisia, Athens), Salut Bar&Grill, Elixir Cocktail Bar (Residency), Breeze Summer Club, Limitless Festival, Mason Bar (Residency) and more.
