Born in 1974, Nick Tolentino grew up in the 80’s and 90’s. He created his own sense of music taste by listening to genre’s from pop to disco and hip hop to house.. Growing up to the musical sounds of the 80s was about listening to everything he could soak up from different outlets like radio, tv, vinyl and cassette tapes. It played a sort of innocence shaping his ear for music . The 90s was about carving his own identity. The sounds became mature and groups like Public Enemy, BDP, to RnB groups like Jodeci, and Guy influenced his style. At the same time, he was intrigued by house music in the late 80s. 90s house music for him was a whole expressive phase that intrigued Nick to be apart of it. In the mid 90s, Nick became more involved in the deejaying aspect and his record collection grew. He created a radio show called From The Soul and was broadcasted weekly on soulstreamnetworks.com, prepartyradio.com, and motionfm.com.
