“ Plus1 started as a way of being, as I like to say, one experience at a time. Being born in a small town like Buftea, stuff needed to happen in order to entertain myself. We are talking here about electronics and mechanics, like modding an old Walkman into a boom box or some really basic wooden vehicles. Music was something that came into my life while I was in school, throughout the primary classes but the DJ-ing part is mostly ambition; in short, “Someone didn’t let me at the decks”, quoting myself back in 2007. In 2009, I’ve uncovered radio ProB, an underground Romanian music radio hosted by Dj Zet. He showed me the fun part of the music, the kind of music that all sorts of people groove on – a dancing,latin and very rhythmic funky house. Soon after this I’ve begun developing my own tastes in music by selecting tunes from artists such as Riva Starr, Mastiksoul and others.
