Plan Z grew up in Tucson, Arizona, where he then went to Manhattan, Kansas for college and became a DJ in the bar district, where he had 4 residencies over 3 years. He now lives in California so that he could attend Scratch DJ Academy so he could make sure his skills were up to industry standard.

During his time in Kansas, Plan Z was introduced to Jersey Club music, and fell in love with the sound. It became his preference, along with other booty bounce genres. If it can get people dancing, Plan Z has it in his library.
