No one loves the positive healing sound of House like Andre’ Duckworth, founder of Phunktra Records, a Tantric House Coalition production. His life changed forever when a college girlfriend took him to Chicago’s famous “Warehouse” in the summer of 1989. He was hooked. Originally from Bassfield Mississippi, He learned to spin Funk and Soul records in his teens from his father DJ “Sweet T” Tommy Dukes, a local Funk DJ that toured the Mississippi Gulf Coast in the mid to late 70’s. The New Orleans Soul Radio Station, WAIL 105 FM and its DJ/Radio Programmer Barry Richards, were also instrumental in his musical development. As a resident of Soft Option he adds a rich soulful element to the local House landscape of Seattle.
