Philippe The Haitian is a DJ/Selector and Producer of lovely soundscapes. Born and raised in the Washington DC area with roots in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Music is his life, like the air we breathe. His musical influences are vast and far reaching, but always paying respect to his Caribbean heritage and sounds from the African continent. Never one to give in to the mainstream, he’s always digging for exotic beats from around the globe. He co-founded a monthly dance party with DJ Paul Howard, called “The Elements of House”, known for high energy vibrations. Philippe spins what he’s feeling from Deep House, Afro-House, Soulful House, Broken Beat and more... His philosophy is that a DJ is not there to only play music that everyone knows, but to also hip folks to all the great music that they may have never heard before.
