Some really nice selections in here - especially keen on Candido and Paulo Moura/Rafael Rebello.
And nothing but love for that beautiful Ricardo Pereira closeout track. 🧡
Glad you enjoyed, John. And I'm especially glad you liked the Pereira as a closer. Fado is kind of an outlier in the playlist but I couldn't resist.
Tócalo! Loved it all, but due to some recent loss the Plena track really hits home.
I'm glad you enjoyed this and especially that that track was so resonant. Thanks for listening!
..always a pleasure. Stay strong!
And sorry to hear of your loss.
Thank you. My eldest cousin, Ana, loved the Plena y Bomba. I miss dancing with her. But this brought back great memories of my parents backyard parties in Whittier Ca. of all places. Even though the music and dances were all foreign to our neighbors, they loved the Lechon/food and always left with full belly ( :
Nice memories! Plena has always been one of my favorites in Latin music.
..yes, but do you love "The Plena" Jajaja! Just making fun at myself. I was thinking how Ana loved to dance to Plena y Bomba, but wrote 'the Plena'. BTW, I always appreciate your varied music knowledge.
Thank you! It's a wide but shallow pool and you've caused me to just now learn a bit about the roots of the pretty salsified plenas I've been drawn to.
Beautiful music, and cover photo 👍🏽✅ thank you dear Patrick 🍷
Glad you enjoyed it, Zvonimir, and yes, I was happy to find that photo!
