Adventures in the Din Trade

Pershore, United Kingdom

I first performed in Folk Clubs as an amateur from the age of 15. At 16 I started my first Folk Club and was involved with the Center42 festival movement. By 19 I was working in the first of a number of record, hifi and musical instrument shops. I was a founder member of The Jugular Vein and toured with that successful jug band for 3 years. I went on to run my own music shops, whilst playing evening gigs with function bands and doing the occasional session, running a jazz club and running my own jazz festival. In the 80's I started Woodshed Recording Studio, Cornwall and performed regularly with my Brazilian-influenced jazz group, 'Into the Red'. My interest in Brazilian music had grown steadily and I was soon a regular visitor to Brazil and have played al lover that country. My music blog - Adventures in the Din Trade - led to a radio show of the same name, for which I interviewed many leading musicians. That radio show is now this podcast. https://www.facebook.com/dintradeadventures
