Hello. Yes it is me, the former ICT Luddite. I still live in "the toon"and represent East Gosforth on Newcastle Council. I'm not quite retired, love music of all types and get my fix from travelling. I have a wonderful family; Pauline is my wife of nearly 40years.
I'm middle aged, happily married with a wonderful family. Our first grandchild arrived in March 2011 and Toby is a complete joy. I love to travel but love to return to Tyneside and I feel very much a part of Newcastle upon Tyne which includes a lifelong irrational support of Newcastle United. I am a natural liberal, and 95% atheist (5% agnostic). I have always hated smoking and believe that the smoking ban in public places will prove to be the most beneficial legislation since the Clean Air Acts. I feel completely urban - I'm not sure what the countryside is about. I have an irrational hatred of the misuse of the apostrophe.
