It is with the deepest respect & gratitude towards the indigenous tribe Huni Kuin that the word “haux” is used to start & end music sessions.
Haux originates from the Amazon Jungle where it’s a shamanistic word in the Kaxinawa language. It’s pronounced like the English word “how”, ending with “sh” as in “brush” [how-sh] & is foremost used by shamans as they open & close a spiritual work/medicinal healing ceremony or to end a period of singing/chanting. The meaning of the word can somewhat be translated to, “that will cure”, & used as a salutation to the people & spiritual dimension.
With profound firsthand experience of the magical healing power of rhythms & vocals, as well as core deep force of psychedelic transcendental music, Dj Haux’s vision is to assist mankind in its current mass awakening by producing & mixing electronic music with ancient mantras & indigenous tribal vocals.
