Erik Ruivenkamp ( aka ) DJ Perry Owens, was born in The Hague (1967) and grew up with classical music. Contact with dance music was in 2002, during “The Love Parade” in Berlin a whole new world opened up for him.

Dance music, the joy of the crowd, being immersed in the music gave him a boost. And at the end of the event, during the set of Paul van Dijk, he was convinced; trance it is.

After visiting a variety of events over the years, such as Sensation White, Dancevalley and Mysteryland among others, the music became more and more an integral part of his life.

In 2008 he started to organise his own events by the alias of “Dune Events”. After varying degrees of success, this project came to an end in 2012.

What remained was a unbridled enthusiasm and love for the music. He joined befriended DJ’s behind the “wheels of steel”, and that’s how DJ Perry Owens was born.
