In Tehran in the ’90s and 2000s, with music and parties surrounded by restrictions, pretty much anything you did was underground. I was just obsessed with finding music, collecting it and mixing things together.
Friends, neighbours… weddings, house parties, whatever — when they needed music, they came to me. Everyone knew “Pej CDs.”
