Azevedo (aka Pedro Gonçalves) started exploring music as instrumentalist and composer since his early teens, being part of several projects as guitarist, bassist, vocals, or electronic instruments. From Portugal’s rave parties and punk concerts to Barcelona’s underground electronic and indy, the emerging Singapore club culture to the dark and prolific Phnom Penh music scene, Azevedo’s love for cultures and wide spectrum of music is the creative driving force of his global sounds.
After a one-year residency at one of Singapore’s notable cocktail bars, Spiffy Dapper in 2013 exploring vintage rock&roll night called Little Bastard Sessions, he joined Kilowatt Sound System, a Singapore-based DJ collective and embarked on a musical journey exploring his Portuguese roots in contemporary electronic sounds, such as Angolan Kuduro, Samba, Favela Funk and their fusion with techno and house, rooting from the Lisbon Sound’s emerging identity.
