I was born and raised in northeast Philadelphia. I'm an only child, and was raised by two of the best parents a son could hope to have; my mom, Joan, who passed away on Mother's Day 2004 after a long bout with heart and lung problems, and my dad, who I'm helping out at home with. He's retired, a warehouseman at Philadelphia's Food Distribution Center. Mom and Dad were married 45 years at the time of her death, and to this moment, we both grieve that she's not around. We were thisclose, the three of us. Both of them instilled in me morals and ethics that last to this day. I work at a Center City insurance company which was in fact my first job interview and have been there ever since.
