El Paso’s own Altek comes from a musical background ever since he was 13 years old. Learning to play the guitar his dream was to be part of a Rock band and share music world wide. His influences include Pink Floyd, Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, Linkin Park, Filter, Radiohead, Led Zeppelin and Mexican band Moenia. Altek was enlightened not only by the sounds of the guitar but also by the sounds of Synthesizers and knew music was his passion. As the years passed by Altek was introduce to the sounds of electronic music back in 2005 when he first listened to Royksopp’s What Else Is There (Trentemoller Remix) and ATB’s Ecstasy. Digging deeper he came across the sounds of Armin Van Buuren, Airwave, Above & Beyond, Paul Van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, Tiesto, John Digweed, Sasha, Carl Cox, James Holden, Sander Kleinenberg, Deep Dish, Lee Burridge, Damian Lazarus and many more of the great pioneers of dance music.
