I was privileged to live my youth in the 1970s when Northern Soul was an underground scene. I met people who not only heard the music but felt it also. Every beat and every rhythm evoked a passion for life and an attachment to the heartaches and stories in the lyrics which spoke to our own emotions of love and adolescent exploration of life and its excesses. This music lives on and on!!
