Pat McKeown

After working as a Field Engineerfor the Applied Physics Lab at the U of W for 15 years, I retrained as an RN. I worked part time at Virginia Mason's Hyperbaric Chamber for 25 years part time, and went back to APL for an ice camp north of Prudhoe Bay, in 2003 because I really enjoyed the diving under the ice to retrieve torpedoes for the US Navy. That's where I met Jenny Hutchings, (she's a bit younger), fell in love, got married and ended up in Fairbanks.
I am currently spending the summer sweating in Mississippi, while Jenny works at Stennis Space Center as a visiting scientist. Normally she models sea ice dynamics as an Assistant Professor at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks Mostly I'm taking care of Michael, our 3 year old. We travel a lot. We spent 3 weeks in Guatamala earlier this year. Michael is quite the world traveller. He's been to England 4 times (British Grandparents), going again in Sept., Norway, Switzerland, Germany, France, Boston, DC, San Francisco t
