One of the things that has always struck me in the tales about the golden age of clubbing (whatever your 'golden age' is) is the ability of certain DJs and music selectors to communicate stories and moods. Build a narrative, dress emotions with a sound glove and make them visible, but most of all tell personal moments one song after another, with titles, words, chord progressions, atmospheres.
This is that kind of story.
