Based in London, UK, I'm originally from Helsinki, Finland. My early love of music grew on a steady diet of Latin, 80s synth sounds of Eurythmics and later Jazz and Blues. Production back then was Chip Tunes on the Commodore 64 and the Yamaha PSR-4500 with a four-track recorder, until I stumbled on Drum & Bass in the early 1990s. Moving to the UK, I fell in love with atmospheric/ intelligent/ liquid Drum & Bass and the work of LTJ Bukem, Fabio and Alex Reece. That led me to breakbeats, sampling, Latin Drum & Bass inspired by Drumagic and deeper into liquid funk with the likes of London Elektricity, DJ Marky, Calibre and High Contrast to name but a few. I also found early deep house and was inspired by Ludovic Navarre (St. Germain) and Stephane Pompougnac and his Hotel Costes sessions. Now you find me in the middle of organic/ afro/ tech house and still partial to Liquid Funk and Drum & Bass.
