I love and am so inspired by both the underground dance music and the conscious dance scenes. These two worlds have such similarities (dance, music, ritual, togetherness, expression) but can also be so different. I have a lot of friends who are either in one world or the other. However, I'm super passionate about bridging these two worlds. They both have such a big place in my heart.

So for those of you who don't know what a conscious dance / Ecstatic Dance 'wave' is, check out this mix. A wave creates a journey for dancers to dance to different styles of music that have different energies, allowing expression of different movements and emotions. It starts slow, builds up, peaks, slows down and then repeats. It's super powerful when done really well.
