I started out in the early 1980s as a speaker on local radio stations in the Bologna area, then, almost on a bet, I started playing disco and later early house music on Sunday afternoons in a room at the "Casa del Popolo" in Molinella: the Charlot. Month after month, the Charlot became the go-to place for young people from various nearby towns. Later, I moved on to the Nuovo Mondo nightclub in Argenta (FE), which later became AlìBabà. I also played at the Casbah in Lido delle Nazioni (FE), Mascaleros and Sottosotto in Ferrara, and from there, other nights at clubs in Bologna, including Kinki, Capannina, ObbyOne, and Numa. Now I organize '70s and '80s disco parties at several venues, including L'Arlecchino Disco in Santa Maria Codifiume (FE), which in the 2024/2025 season celebrated 20 years of collaboration with the Mingozzi family, owners of the Arlecchino nightclub where I currently work.
