ON THE STICK RECORD is the union of passionate young music producers creating and collaborating with one goal in mind: to go behind the expectations of conventional music.
On The Stick Record was conceived two years ago by the will of four young Montrealers to create a space dedicated to emerging numerical music.
Reuniting more than ten international artists and numerous pluri-disciplinary collaborations, On The Stick Record establishes itself as a prominent actor of up-and-coming electro/hip-hop music in Montreal. The Label also supports events such as musical creation and sound design challenges (Kick Fight) and Black Sheep Electronic jam-session where artistic performance meets numerical improvisation.
The Black-Sheep Tuesday event (every 1 Tuesday on 2) are an excellent example of the labels involvement within Montreal’s urban and experimental music.
