Born in Norilsk in a polar night. Grew up in sunny Odessa. Moved to Moscow at the age of 7. Studied arts and architecture from 1978-88. Got married in and moved to London in 1988. Son Jacob was born in 1998. Divorced in 2001. Run charity and organise workshops, events and training courses.
