Experimental electronic musician rROXYMORE casts a spell over our MIX SERIES, with an eclectic hour of tracks suited for the dark corners of the dancefloor.

Released on fellow music pioneer Planningtorock's Human Level label, rROXYMORE – real name, Hermione Frank – started making music in a friend's disused garage in Montpellier. Today, echoes of these origins can be heard in her raw and industrial sound, which has been described as a mixture of Sun-Ra’s cosmic wanderings and the pounding party heartbeat of Berlin.

"This mix, I would say, is located on the periphery of the dance floor", says Hermione. "There are some danceable tracks, others are more for listening, and it is also a bit scruffy sometimes – just to keep things more organic in our hyper-organised, almost perfect, digital world"
