Nuela’s musical style and skills were strongly influenced by her surroundings as she grew up in Germany in the 1980’s heyday of vinyl spinning and cassette mixtapes. With an older brother already involved in DJing and event organizing, she experienced dance music and festivals from the time she was a young girl. Finding her love in Psytrance and Goa trance, she drew on Goa’s Indian influences to choose her DJing name of Shiva when she began spinning at the end of the 90’s. Her most recent projects include songs released as Shiva the Kidd through Audiodidakt Rec.

After years of silence, my heart still beats for the music — and it pulled me back behind the decks. With time I’ve grown older, wiser, and so has my sound. My new name "Nuela" reflects that deeper connection to who I am today, while my sets blend Organic / Deep House , Afro House, Melodic House and Techno into moments of pure energy.
