Sheffield, United Kingdom

Sheffield based collective, messing about with lo-fi improvised musical sounds since the early 1980s - don't get out as much as we used to, and not a lot of our output has been digitised.

In case you were wondering, 8 of 10 people - who can be bothered to think about it - agree that NSQ stands for 'Napoleon Solo's Quiff'.
Napoleon Solo, played by Robert Vaughn, was the star of the 1960s series the Man from Uncle. Anyway, in that great series, the only thing more memorable than the man himself was... his quiff.

The core of NSQ consists of Jim, Rich and Andy. For our sins, we all still live in Sheffield. However NSQ was always more than its core, and over the years we have collaborated with many friends and relations: Kurt, Kaz and Fint, who feature here in various roles , and now scattered to the four - ok, three - winds, were all regular NSQ collaborators in the mid-late 1980s. For our more recent live performances we have been joined the talented Mr Robert T on drums.
