Out of the wound with a passion and strong love for music Tone Smith was destined to be a artist, dancer, or disc jockey. Growing up in the Michigan suburbs, it was'nt until the mid 80's that Tone dabbled in music mixing, using a dual deck tape recorder producing his own remixes to pop, r&b and hip hop music. Noticing how dedicated to music he was, Tone's parents purchased him two turntables and a mixer for christmas in the late 80's. While constantly practicing and trying to master his craft making mix-tapes for family and friends, it wasn't until 2003 that Tone officially became a dj. With the help of detroits own Dj Tony Peoples, Tone started his journey at The Works bar. Have worked at most popular Detroit bars( Off Broadway East, The Palladium, Tom Phillips Post, Inuendo, and currently The Woodward) Tone's versatile style keeps him popular in the Detroit club/party scene, his humbleness keeps him a favorite among the crowd.
